Queensland Writers Week 2012

On the final day of Queensland Writers Week, the last instalment of the story has been added to the site so

Between a dog and a wolf

7 Days at Dusk

is now available in its entirety – as text and now as an audio podcast – until the end of the month. If you’ve dipped in during the week, you can now check back again to wrap up your reading/listening. If you haven’t had the chance yet, please stop by before the 31st of October and let me know what you think of these 7 tales of limbo.

Although the story has evolved from combining a French colloquial phrase for dusk with the desire to create a QWW project, I’ve begun to consider the possibility of  another story – a follow-up where we drop back in to each situation a year on, but perhaps just as a dawn breaks. The aim would be to create more snapshots of people and places that are engaging in themselves but that also might help to answer some of the questions raised in the 7 Days at Dusk. And, having realised that such a thing would follow in the tradition of the great Sunrise/Sunset narratives of the past, the idea is gaining in credibility.  So stay tuned to alisonearlsALOUD for updates.

Thanks for reading/listening!
